LOS ANGELES — This week we brought you on a virtual reality trip to Peru, visited the hot anonymous app Whisper at Angelica Huston's old Venice Beach digs and talked to students about wearable tech for back to school.

Our weekend collection of #TalkingTech video highlights from the week.

Let's begin with wearables, where we stopped by the campus of the University of Southern California to get a read from students on wearable tech for 2015-2016.

In part 4 of his Back to School video series, USA TODAY's Jefferson Graham speaks with students and a professor at USC about wearables in the classroom. Sean Fujiwara

Next up: come with us to Venice Beach, where we meet the folks from Whisper, the hot anonymous app based in a swanky, three-story former home of Hollywood royalty.

Anonymous app Whisper has struck a chord with folks as the anti-Facebook--a place where folks can let it hang out. But unlike other apps with a similar approach, no name calling or bullying is allowed. Jefferson Graham reports. Sean Fujiwara

Right down the street from Whisper, on ultra-trendy Abbott Kinney street, is the flagship store for Toms, the company that sells shoes, coffee and eyewear.

And now, in the store, Toms is offering virtual reality stations to go on trips with the company to Peru. Company founder Blake Mycoskie shows us.

A new iPhone is expected in September, with, as always, better performance and an improved camera. In this video, I offer my wishlist of features I'd like to see in the new iPhone camera.

With a new iPhone set to debut in September, Jefferson Graham runs down the four top features he'd like to see for the camera, on #TalkingTech. Sean Fujiwara

And finally, this new iPhone will be full of apps, no doubt. And since we now live in an app world, I love asking people the question: what app changed your life? I know what the one is for me--but how about you?

What app changed your life? We went out and asked folks by the beach on a summer day. Their answers might surprise you. Sean Fujiwara

Thanks for watching, and happy weekend everyone.
