The major shortcoming of the HTC One line year-after-year has been the camera. With HTC mired in financial troubles, a great phone with a killer camera could go a long way towards nudging the ship back in the right direction.
A recent rumor from leaker LlabTooFeR, who is typically accurate with smartphone predictions, says the main camera in the HTC One M10 "Perfume" will use the same Sony sensor as found in the Nexus 6P.

In our review we found the Nexus 6P camera to perform very well, particularly in low light settings. This gives us hope for much improvement over last year's disappointing One M9, which was subpar when compared to other handsets like the Galaxy S6 line.
Another clue comes from VentureBeat's Evan Blass, who tweeted that the phone will be available the week of May 9th. This timing means that HTC is unlikely to show off the device at Mobile World Congress later this month.
The story behind the story: We may have reached Peak Smartphone, but we're still expecting a number of new models to roll out soon. While one phone won't save HTC, a great flagship with a respectable camera could turns some heads away from those who have come to rely on Samsung's hardware prowess or the various options in the world of Android phones.
