S5 Camera Takes Black Pictures
Problem: When I take pictures or video, they do not seem to register. When I go to Gallery, all of the new pics I take are blacked out. If I go in via the camera, I see some of the pics but when I go to share them, they get blacked out in that process. I have lots of space on my device and my card, so that is not the issue. It's like my camera is taking pics and saving them in an unreadable format?? In the blacked out pics, there is a grey pic of a pic border with a mountain outline and an exclamation mark in a circle.
Solution: Are the photos saved in your microSD card? If the card develops some bad sectors then it's very likely that the photos will go black. Try taking out the card from your phone then take some pictures using your phone ( these pictures will be automatically saved in the phone's internal storage). If the pictures appear fine then the card is causing the problem. You should either get a new card or try to reformat this card and hope the issue goes away.
If your phone does not have a microSD card and the photos are automatically saved in the internal storage of the device then follow the steps listed below. Move to the next step should the issue still occur.
S5 Can't Download Photos To Computer After Marshmallow Update
Problem: marshmallow applied fri night. Took photos sat morn now unable to download/import photos to Picasa or anywhere else on my computer. My computer no longer recognizes any photos. I use this process on a regular basis until now.
Solution: Try restarting both your phone and computer. You should also try using a different USB cord when connecting the phone to your computer. If the problem still occurs then you should consider performing a factory reset on your phone. This reset will delete any old software data that could still be present in the device and is causing this problem. Make sure to backup your phone data before doing the reset.
S5 Camera Blur
Problem: Hi.Just Wanna ask why is my samsung galaxy s5 camera becomes blur. As in blur like china phone's camera. And another issue is some list in setting won't pop up or open. Please Help me to fix this
Solution: When the camera takes blurry photos the first thing you want to check is if the rear camera lens is clear. Wipe this lens using a microfiber cloth to remove any smudges. If your phone has a case installed then try removing it from its case as this may also be causing the problem.
The other possible things you should do are listed below. Move to the next step if the current step fails to fix the problem.
If the problem still occurs after the reset then you should have your phone checked at a service center as the problem could already be caused by the camera module.
S5 No Audio In Recorded Videos
Problem: I recorded videos, and now whenever i try to watch them there is no audio. No, I didn't cover the microphone with my finger. This is obviously a software problem, not a hardware problem. So how do I get back that audio?
Solution: For this particular issue you need to copy the recorded video file to your computer. Have your computer playback the file. If there is still no audio then the problem could be caused during the recording process. Try clearing the cache and data of the camera app then record a video again. You should also try to check the voice recorder app of your phone if it is able to record your voice.
Another factor that can cause this problem is a third party app. Record a video while your phone is in Safe Mode. If the sound can be heard then the problem is most likely caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
One last troubleshooting step that you should consider is a factory reset. Make Sure to backup your phone data before the reset.
S5 Camera & Gallery Not Working After Update
Problem: Ever since last update, my gallery and camera isn't working right. It keeps freezing up, takes forever to delete pics (sometimes – if I turn it off and back on it is OK for a short while). Also, it is taking multiple pictures when it is in my pocket so I end up with 50 or 60 pretty pictures of nothing but different colors of light I guess. Also having trouble scrolling through pictures – again sometimes – but all since last software update from Samsung.
Solution: Since this issue occured right after a software update I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. This reset will delete any old software data that has been left in your phone and is causing this problem.
