S4 Camera Is Blurry
Problem: When my phone attempts to focus while taking a picture or video, it shows that it at least tries to focus. However, it goes past the best visible picture and back to blurry.
Solution: The first thing to do in this case is to check if the camera lens is clear. If there are any smudges then this could affect the way the phone focuses. If you need to clean the lens then make sure to use a microfiber cloth or lens paper cleaner to avoid scratching the lens.
If are using a phone case then try removing this case then check if the phone focuses. Sometimes the case can interfere with the focusing feature of the camera if it blocks its view.
Next, try to check if some form of temporary data in the camera app is causing the problem. To do this you need to clear the cache and data of the camera app.
Sometimes, a third party app you installed in your phone can also cause this issue. Check if this is the case by starting your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run while apps you downloaded are disabled. Take some photos in this mode then see if they still appear blurry. If the problem does not occur then there's a possibility that it is caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset. After the reset you should immediately check if the problem still occurs. If it does then the phone may have a faulty camera module. If this is the case then I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center and have it checked.
S4 Front Facing Camera Is Blurry
Problem: The front facing camera. Everytime I take a photo with the front camera, the photo on my screen before taking the photo will be crisp, after taking the photo, I go to look at it, and the entire thing is blurry. It seems to automatically use the beauty face edit that can be an option. How do I stop this?!
Solution: Before doing any troubleshooting make sure that the front camera lens is clear. If necessary, wipe the lens with a microfiber cloth then check if the problem still occurs. If the phone has a screen protector installed then try removing this as well.
If the problem still occurs then this could be caused by some corrupt temporary data. Try clearing the cache and data of the camera app and see if this helps. If the issue still occurs proceed with wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. This deletes the temporary data of your phone system.
You should also check if an app you installed is causing this problem. To do this just start your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode only the pre-installed apps are allowed to run. Apps you downloaded are prevented from running. Check if the issue still occurs in this mode. If it doesn't then it's likely caused by an app. Find out what app this is and uninstall it.
If the above troubleshooting steps fail to resolve the issue then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S4 Front Camera Blurry After Screen Replacement
Problem: So i broke my led screen and i went to a shop to replace it and like 3 weeks later i tried to take a selfie but the camera is way too blurry to even see my face! I can see a little change in colour when I put my thumb on the camera but that is all… help please!
Solution: You should first check if the front camera lens area has any smudges. Clean this with a microfiber cloth if necessary. If your phone has a screen protector installed then try taking this out as well as this may also cause the issue.
Verify if the issue is caused by the phone software by backing up your phone data then doing a factory reset. If after the reset the issue still persists then bring your phone back to the repair shop and have it checked. The front camera module may have been affected during the screen replacement.
S4 Camera Unable To Find Item Error
Problem: When I took a shot with a camera I can't view that picture, a message apear "unable to find item". That picture I can't find in album. When someone send a picture on WhatsApp i can't see it anymore, it's blurred. With Viber i don't have that kind of a problem. Please help me with that problem
Solution: Is the camera default save location set to the microSD card? If it is then try changing this to the internal storage of your phone. Check if the problem still occurs. If it doesn't then you probably have a faulty microSD card. Backup the data of the card then format it. You should also consider replacing this card with a new one.
If your phone does not have a microSd card installed then proceed with starting your phone in recovery mode then wipe its cache partition. Restart your phone then check if the problem still occurs. If it does then I suggest you backup your phone data then do a factory reset.
S4 Camera Not Focusing After Replacing Camera Lens
Problem: I went to sleep one night battery was fully charged I woke up to a dead phone and my camera glass shattered. I replaced my camera glass and my camera will not focus anymore.
Solution: Try to check first if the problem is caused by your phone software by backing up your phone data then doing a factory reset. I after the reset the front facing camera still does not focus then this is already a hardware related issue probably due to the lens replacement. I suggest you bring your phone to an authorized service center and have this checked.
S4 Front Camera Takes Half Photos
Problem: When using my front camera on my device. its appear full when showing when you already captured a picture it's only half? it's like the front camera of my device has been zoom by x2 ? so i need to put it away in order to captured the whole image of me . i try the back cam and its normal
Solution: Try clearing the cache and data of the camera app and see if this fixes the problem. If the issue remains then proceed with wiping the cache partition of your phone from the recovery mode. One last troubleshooting step that you should consider is a factory reset. Take note that this will delete your phone data so you need to make a backup copy first before doing this procedure.
